Chief Executive Officer
Salmeen Obaid Alameri is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Silal since January 2022, where he is responsible for driving the strategic growth of the company and achieving its operational target objectives. With more than 20 years of experience in managing companies within key economic sectors, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to support the efforts aiming to sustainably secure food for our present and future generations.
Salmeen leads Silal in its journey to fulfil its mandate to maximize local farming produce, secure strategic food reserves and provide access to safe, nutritious and high quality food at all times for all society members through harnessing leading capabilities and advanced technology.
He holds a Master’s degree in Management, Communications, Marketing and Media from the Paris Sorbonne University in Abu Dhabi and a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the Eastern Washington University in the United States of America.
Prior to joining Silal, Salmeen has held various key roles; including CEO of Al Dahra UAE Division, along with several senior positions in Abu Dhabi Terminals Company.
He is also a Board Member for Agthia and Agility Abu Dhabi.
